Farewell Bruce: Caitlyn Jenner Makes Her Debut in Vanity Fair.

After specials, speculation, and a lot of questions regarding a name and exactly when we’d meet the woman Bruce Jenner used to refer to as “Her,” Caitlyn Jenner is making her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair. And she’s simply stunning (Jessica Lange vibes, anyone?).

Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, theses are the first photos of Caitlyn. She held her interview with Pulitzer Prize–winning writer Buzz Bissinger, saying, “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.'”

The emergence of Caitlyn is the culmination of a huge journey for Jenner.

“It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and everyone giving me a ’Thattaboy Bruce’ pat on the back,” she said. “This is about your life.

Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie. Every day, he always had a secret, from morning till night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets.”

And with the cover’s release, goodbye to Bruce. Caitlyn is running the show now.
