Russel Smith murdered his whole family
A 29-year-old Utah, USA man, Russel Smith, turned what would have been a joyous Father's Day celebration to tragedy when he shot dead his wife, Shawna, 26, and two kids, 6-year-old Tylee and 2-year-old Blake, before turning the gun on himself.
A Roy City Police officer, Kevin Smith said the department received a 911 call about an assault at 10 pm on Sunday, June 21, from a family member who had stopped by the house and when officers went there, they found the four bodies all dead.
Police said it appears Russell Smith shot himself, and they are not looking for any suspects.
"It's very tragic... this was a very quiet family. The neighbors didn't hear anything coming from the home. The only screams they heard were from the people that found the scene," Officer Smith said.
