Qatar, the host nation for the 2022 World Cup has unveiled the design for a 40,000- seater ground built in the gateway of the desert along with air conditioning in order to help players and fans have a comfortable atmosphere.
The stadium, which is named Al Rayyan, was designed by UK-based architecture firms, Ramboll andPattern and includes seven patterns representing different aspects of Qatari culture. The design boasts of a mosque, aquatic centre, athletics track, cricket pitch, tennis courts and hockey pitch.
According to reports, The Al Rayyan stadium, which will hold matches up to the quarter-final stage of the 2022, will be completed in the early months of 2019.
