University of Lagos Convocation UNILAG employs student with over 4.00 CGPA as lecturers... READ HERE

 The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Rahamon Ade Bello, has said the university will give two students each from its various departments automat employment as Graduate Assistants so as to retain the best brains.

Students of the University of Lagos(UNILAG) who graduate with at least 4.00 CGPA will be given automatic employment as Graduate Assistants at the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Rahamon Ade Bello, said this on Wednesday while delivering his convocation speech as the institution’s Multipurpose Hall.
Two students each would be selected from each department in the university to enjoy this automatic employment offer.
"The governing Council of the university, for the promotion of excellence in the university has approved that commencing from this year, the two best graduating students, with CGPA not less than 4.00 in each of our programmes, will be automatically employed as Graduate Assistants," Bello announced.
“We shall continue to set the standards and create the platform for intellectual contribution to the economic and social advancement of our great nation."
He said the move was to retain the university's best products within the system.
Bello revealed that 125 students graduated with First Class honours, adding that a 21-year-old student from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Akinpelumi Korede, emerged as the overall best student with a CGPA) of 4.96
