Students under the aegis of the National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS) have urged President Muhammadu Buhari to draft Hon. Abike Dabiri into his cabinet.

The President of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) chapter of the body, Sodiq Oyeleke, and his Public Relations Officer, Adebimpe Omolaso, said Abike would be a good addition to his government.

“Dabiri, who is another outstanding product of our department, deserves to be appointed as a minister,” they said in a joint statement.

"We do not think that there is a better way to reward one of the exceptional products of our department than including her as one of the major actors in the present government.

Dabiri, an OAU alumnus is a former TV personality and serving member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Constituency in Lagos State.

Earlier this week, Buhari appointed Femi Adesina, another alumnus of the institution, as one of his spokespersons.
