An armed robbery suspect in the cell of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Lagos State Police, Stanley Okorie, is not regretting his arrest but is giving glory to God for making his capture possible to save him from being killed in the process of robbery.

Okorie who was arrested at the Satellite area of the state while dispossessing victims of their valuables using a toy gun, said police would never have been able to arrest him, if God had not designed it.

The now religious 20-year-old suspect said that God was also trying to tell him that he had taken enough from victims and that he needed to stop.

"God wanted me to stop this life of crime, that was why he allowed the police to arrest me."

According to a police officer attached to the SARS, Okorie, who was arrested on March 28, 2015, belonged to a gang of robbers who operated around Ajegunle, Satelite Town, Alaba and other parts of the state.

"The suspect belongs to a two-man gang of armed robbers. They used to go on highways to rob passers-by and motorists of their phones and valuables."
