Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama has opted out of Nigeria’s squad which faces Tanzania on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Enyeama cited personal reasons for his withdrawal which will now put the team’s leadership on Ahmed Musa.

Coach of the team, Sunday Oliseh disclosed the development to journalists yesterday, September 2, 2015 stating that he was not aware of the reasons the Lille goalkeeper opted out. ‘He asked to be withdrawn from this game, for which reason I don’t know, I think you have to ask him personally,’ Oliseh told media in Abuja.

He said further, ‘the late withdrawal has put me in a very tight situation because I must confess that the task ahead of us is a very difficult one and I didn’t need this extra burden. We’re practically starting this team from the scratch, it’s not very pleasant but that’s life.’

Wolverhampton Wanderers Britain-born goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, Sunshine Stars of Akure’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Femi Thomas of Enyimba have been named the 3 goalkeepers for the game.
