Younger sister to Nollywood’s Hanks Anuku and former beauty queen, Rita Anuku, passed away yesterday July 2nd at an undisclosed Abuja hospital. Sources reveal that the former Miss Nigeria has
been battling with cancer for the past two years and she finally kicked the bucket yesterday morning.

Late Rita Anuku was a first cousin of Hon. David Anuku, former commissioner of Special Duties in Delta State.
She was crowned Miss Nigeria in 1986 while she was just 18 years of age and a mere secondary school leaver. She is survived by four children, three girls and a boy.
