The Nigerians affected were picked up from Kousseri, a border town
between Cameroon and Chad and handed over to government officials in
Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria.
A total of 450 foreign nationals -most of whom are Nigerians- living illegally in Cameroon have been deported by the country’s immigration authorities.
According to reports, this proactive measure was to avert likely attack by the Boko Haram sect currently wreaking havoc in Northern Nigeria.
